After finalizing the constitution in May 2012, the board launched a more active process of leading us all into a more active and exciting future, including the upcoming 100th anniversary of the creation of Kitsilano High School, which opened in September of 1917.
On June 1, 2013, we held our first Annual General Meeting in the Meraloma Club House, followed by a barbecue. The minutes of that first meeting are attached here (click here). The next event to attract more members involved the Khatsahlano Street Festival on 4th Avenue that took place on Saturday, July 13th, 2013.
Then in the years after that, we participated in the Broadway Greek Day Festivals, and cresated Pub gatherings. As well, KSSAA joined the Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce (before it was moved into the Vancouver Chamber), and Kitsilano Neighbourhood House to collaborate with businesses and service agencies in the Kitsilano area to both promote and contribute to the Commemorative Cavalcade Scholarship Fund, as well as serve the community.
KSSAA is always seeking volunteers to work on programs, fellowships, fundraising, and other committees to build the Association to better serve graduates and the school community.
